I wanted to write a song using Dylan's Lay Lady Lay chord progression but needed some sexy sultry type lyrics and couldn't come up with anything. Then I remembered that I had some lyrics that would suit this chord progression perfectly. The only problem was that I had already set them to music about 2 or 3 years ago. Then I thought, wait a minute....these are my lyrics I can do whatever I dam well please with them.. Who is actually making the rules here?
So I used the lyrics and made what I thought was a completely new song. The funny thing, is I listen back to both songs and they are very very similar.....oh well..
